United Women in Faith Support Several Ongoing Ministries Here at Lebanon

We would like to share just a few of them with you!

  • We tie, knit, and crochet blankets. These are then donated to Project Linus, which uses them to support children in crisis. We also set aside some of these blankets to use as prayer shawls to be shared with those in the hospital, in recovery, or home-bound.
  • We support Lebanon’s missions by providing lunch during our week-long youth LebCamp, a time when our youth and adults participate in local service projects; and preparing breakfast during the two weeks we provide shelter for our homeless CARITAS guests. We also support the Nurture Team by providing meals as needed.
  • In December, we provide the residents at Liberation Veterans Services with backpacks filled with items such as sweatshirts, socks and toiletries.
  • Our group decided to take on the task of forming a committee to research the appropriate style and cost of a steeple. We spearheaded the fundraising campaign and managed the donations. We worked on various projects to add to the funds. We met with success and were also able to add chimes!
  • We sponsor programs for our members and the community that provide knowledge and insight on current topics. Recent programs have included information on Wills & Trusts, Supporting Dementia Patients & Families, and Moments of Hope-a local nonprofit which supports the homeless.

Making and selling crafts allow us to raise funds to support these and other mission activities. This time together provides wonderful laughter and fellowship. This typically occurs following our meetings. We meet at Lebanon the second Monday of each month at 10:00 AM. Our meetings are open to all women in the community.

Come join us for

fun, fellowship, and service!
